I know how morning
can be mistaken for dusk.
In warm golden light
we think we know
ourselves entirely.
We only begin to know
ourselves entirely when
we have nothing to gain
but wild trust
in the way you find yourself
in the way you hold yourself
when the heat dies down
when one season lingers
before another begins.
I began a new living
when I reached this Selah:
I learned three truths:
My body carried my dreams.
My dreams came from somewhere else.
I give myself over to my dreams —
as my dreams are inevitable.
Beautiful!!!
